The Lancer football team will open its season on Saturday, Aug. 24, hosting the Queen’s Gaels at Alumni Stadium.

Ontario University Athletics has announced the squad’s 2024 schedule, which will continue Aug. 31 in Ottawa to meet the Carleton Ravens.

The following week is a bye, and the remaining action is as follows:

• Saturday, Sept. 14, in Toronto against the York Lions
• Saturday, Sept. 21, Alumni Week at home against the Ottawa Gee-Gees
• Saturday, Sept. 28, at home to the Toronto Varsity Blues
• Saturday, Oct. 5, in Guelph to meet the Gryphons
• Friday, Oct. 11, a Thanksgiving weekend tilt at home vs. the Laurier Golden Hawks
• Saturday, Oct. 19, in London to play the Western Mustangs

Playoffs for the Yates Cup will begin on Oct. 26 and conclude with the championship game on Nov. 9.
