Volunteering to help new students transition to university has been a highlight of her UWindsor career, says Emmanuella Uche-Orji.

The fourth-year biochemistry and biomedical science major served with the LEAD program, welcoming newcomers to campus.

“It gave me the opportunity to guide and support incoming students during orientation events, work together with a team of volunteers, and make new friends,” Uche-Orji says. “I have developed public speaking, leadership, teamwork, and professional workplace skills.”

Applications are now open for volunteers to mentor the incoming class of students during this year’s orientation programming.
