Job shadow program seeks professionals for brief mentorship opportunity

The Office of Career Development and Experiential Learning (CDEL) is looking for professionals to host students for the upcoming winter Job Shadow Experience, which partners industry experts with students seeking a deeper understanding of their potential career paths.

Hosts will spend a couple of hours online or in-person with a student, providing insight and guidance while answering the student’s questions about their industries and career paths. The program is flexible, allowing hosts to choose the times that work for them, and the online option opens the door to alumni and partners working outside the region.

The Job Shadow Experience is set for the University’s Winter Reading Week. Hosts can select one day between Feb. 20 and 22.

If you or someone you know are looking to exercise your leadership skills and mentorship qualities by opening your doors to students for a couple hours of learning and discovery, register for the Job Shadow Experience by Jan. 14.
