Chancellor shares holiday wishes

UWindsor chancellor Mary Jo Haddad (BScN 1984, LLD 2005) issued a message wishing the best of the season to the University community.

Dear University of Windsor Community,

As we embrace the spirit of the season, marked by festive celebrations, time spent with family and friends, and active preparations for holiday plans and travel, I encourage each of you to carve out a moment for reflection.

Revel in your achievements this year. Contemplate the academic, professional, and personal growth you have experienced. Value the moments spent with friends and the connections made with new faces. Welcome the upcoming experiences and opportunities that 2024 holds. Be confident that the University of Windsor is poised to support you as we strive to improve campus life for everyone.

There is much to celebrate in 2023, from the opening of the transformed Faculty of Law building to breaking ground on a new student residence to the vibrant rejuvenation of campus and downtown buildings.

As we stand at the threshold of a new year, many exciting prospects await us. A fresh chapter in our University's history is unfolding, guided by the vision of our new Strategic Plan, Aspire.

Now, as the holidays progress, may your days be enriched by familiar traditions, the spreading of hope to those in need, and relaxation and rejuvenation.

I extend my heartfelt wishes to each of you for a safe and joyful season.

Dr. Mary Jo Haddad CM
