Employees invited to bring kids to work Nov. 1

Grade 9 students who have parents, relatives, or friends working at the University of Windsor will have a chance to walk in their shoes Nov. 1 during national Take Our Kids to Work Day.

The program invites employees to bring up to two visitors each for group activities co-ordinated by faculties and departments, as well as a job shadow experience.

Hosts can bring sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, or children of a friend or neighbour.

“Take Our Kids to Work Day enhances students’ understanding of the realities of working life and supports them in their exploration and planning of their career paths,” says Oliga Tserakhava, talent retention co-ordinator in the Department of Human Resources. “It also gives us a chance to showcase the University.”

Group activities are limited to 60 students on a first-come, first-served basis. Register and submit a completed waiver no later than Oct. 23.
