The Office of Career Development and Experiential Learning (CDEL) is looking for professionals to host students for the upcoming fall Job Shadow Experience, a valuable initiative that partners industry experts with students seeking a deeper understanding of their potential career paths.

Hosts will spend a couple of hours online or in-person with a student, providing valuable insights and guidance while answering the student’s questions about their industries and career paths. This helps UWindsor students better understand how to connect their studies to the workplace, allowing them to gain a clearer picture of their goals after graduation. The program is flexible, allowing the host to choose times that work for them, and the online option opens the door to alumni and partners working outside of the region.

Krista Kelly, manager of CDEL, says professionals from all fields are encouraged to register.

“We encourage hosts, especially UWindsor alumni, from diverse sectors and locations to participate,” she says. “Having the opportunity to potentially impact a student’s career journey in a few short hours is often an extremely rewarding and enriching experience for professionals who volunteer their time and expertise.”

The Job Shadow Experience is set for the University’s fall reading week, Oct. 10 to 13.
