Alumnus to screen short feature

A UWindsor grad will screen his independent film Wednesday, Aug. 2, at the Media Arts Community Centre.

Mallinath Harsha (M.Eng 2019) wrote and directed The World of Kapata. Hailed as “India’s biggest short film,” it depicts an old man who begins holding conversations with a wall of masks, revealing past betrayals.

The 48-minute movie has been selected by the Toronto Independent Film Festival of CIFT, Vancouver Independent Film Festival, Chicago Indie Film Awards, Venice Shorts, Phoenix Shorts, Mumbai Independent Film Festival, and the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival.

Wednesday’s screening will begin at 7:30 p.m. at 664 Victoria Ave. Admission is by a suggested donation of $2 toward the non-profit Media Arts Community Centre.
