The Windsor-Essex Pride Festival will take place Aug. 2 to 13 with events around the city, culminating in a parade and celebration on Sunday, Aug, 13 at 11 a.m.

The UWinPride Committee will participate for the third time, publicly representing the University of Windsor at both the parade and the festival at Lanspeary Park.

“The parade is a fun way to foster a sense of connection between our campus and the broader Windsor-Essex community,” says co-chair Ashlyne O’Neil. “Plus, it helps us build our network of queer folks and allies within UWindsor.”

Co-chair Joyceln Lorito adds: “participating in the pride parade last year felt empowering and gave the queer community on campus a voice and a sense of belonging. We would love for more people to be a part of it.”
