Prizes and pride on offer during Lancer basketball Friday

Sponsor MBNA will make the Lancer basketball games Friday, November 3, special for fans. The credit card provider is offering prizes for half-time competitions for both the women’s and men’s contest, including two tickets to see the Toronto Maple Leafs face off against the Washington Capitals at the Air Canada Centre on November 25.

Fans registered through the Lancer Loyalty app will be eligible for the prize draws, says athletic marketing co-ordinator Mona Sleiman.

“I hope everyone in attendance signs up for the app to be able to win some fabulous prizes,” she says. “It’s open to everyone: students and alumni, faculty and staff, community members and parents.”

The Lancers will tip off against the Ryerson Rams in the St. Denis Centre on Friday in contests designated for the Ignite Pride campaign, which offers prize incentives for student attendance. The women will play at 6 p.m. and the men at 8 p.m.
