Librarial sciences co-op student Yayo Umetsubo won this UWindsor coffee mug in Monday’s trivia quiz contest.
Yayo Umetsubo, a student serving as co-op term in the Leddy Library, used her research skills—and the library’s catalogue system—to win Monday’s DailyNews quiz contest and the prize of a beautiful coffee mug bearing the UWindsor logo.
“I was happy to see the questions were ones I could answer by using the resources at the library,” Umetsubo said Wednesday as she claimed her prize. “The quizzes are a good way to educate us about different aspects of the campus.”
Her entry was drawn from all those which correctly identified the UWindsor professors who wrote or edited these books:
- Roy Amore, Two Masters, One Message: The Lives and Teaching of Gautama and Jesus;
- Gordon Drake, Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics Handbook;
- Hoda ElMaraghy, Changeable and Reconfigurable Manufacturing Systems;

- Margery Holman, Making the Team: Inside the World of Sport Initiations and Hazing;

- Alan Trenhaile, Geomorphology: A Canadian Perspective;
- Jonathan Wu, Guide to Three Dimensional Structure and Motion Factorization; and
- Lucia Yiu, Fundamentals of Canadian Nursing: Concepts, Process, and Practice.
To help celebrate the University of Windsor’s 50th anniversary, DailyNews will run a contest at the beginning of each week, offering a prize donated by the University Boookstore. Today’s prize, a black coffee mug with the University’s logo imprinted in white, is available for purchase from the Bookstore kiosk in the CAW Student Centre at a cost of $9.99.
