UWindsor Interns gain practical knowledge on film set

Four UWindsor Communication, Media and Film (CMF) students joined their professor this summer as interns on an actual film set, putting theory into practice.

Matthew Sabelli; Christina Bresolin; Erik de Paulsen; and Kurt Sasso joined professor and filmmaker, Mike Stasko in shooting, The Control, a science-fiction movie co-written and co-directed by professor Stasko and Eric Schiller. The film is a production of Stasko’s film company, "The Dot Film Company".

Film by alumni to enjoy free outdoor screening

Dieppe Gardens is the setting for an outdoors screening Saturday of a feature film made by UWindsor graduates.

Communications grad Ted Bezaire wrote and directed The Birder; classmate Mike Stasko shared the writing credit. Locales around Windsor and Essex County served as backdrops during filming.

UWindsor UNICEF chapter holds bowling fundraiser

If you like to bowl and believe in supporting humanitarian causes for children in developing countries, then you should head straight to the Bowlero lanes this Friday night.

The University of Windsor’s UNICEF chapter is hosting a bowling night fundraiser at the alley, located at 675 Tecumseh Road West, November 25 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Tickets are $12, which includes shoe rentals, and are available beginning today through Friday in the CAW Student Centre commons area. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
