A bronze sculpture depicting abolitionist publisher Mary Ann Shadd Cary was unveiled Thursday on the University of Windsor’s downtown campus.

Cooking class to celebrate cross-cultural connection

East Africa will meet West Africa when two chefs offer regional variations on a rice meal during a cooking class presented online as part of AfroFest this evening: from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28.

Recipes will be posted to the AfroFest Instagram feed prior to the demonstration.

AfroFest is organized by the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance to document and celebrate the contributions made by peoples of African descent to the world.
